Thieves’ vehicle broken

I was with my wife just discussing some family issues while opening my computer. We heard a rough knock at the front door. I got out and found my brother who tipped me that there were thieves suspected to enter the village with an unidentified vehicle.

Neighbouring men were tipped to follow the suspected vehicle. We were nine men with weapons. It was around 11 night hours with heavy winds and no even moonlight.

The vehicle was found hidden along the road in the forest a km away from Chinangwa village. Some passengers who were on board when the vehicle was crossing the village were not where it was hidden. Only driver was with it enclosed himself while communicating others through his mobile phone.

The angry Chinangwa men surrounded the vehicle while hidden themselves just looking forward to witness what would be loaded or what would be done. Some four men seen brought the cow where there a hidden vehicle. They tighten the cow all legs and tried to load it. Angry Chinangwa men just came out as flash of lighten and hit one of the five thieves. Others started breaking the vehicle. The driver who was one of the thieves tried to rush with the vehicle. They left the stolen cow and was rescued. It was later known that the cow was belonging to Mr Thomas Joe of Chinangwa village who is one of the Kasinthula Cane farmers.

In our community many farmers are complaining that thieves from town specifically Blantyre are descending to Shire Valley to steal livestock. This is a shock indeed to the community.
