I already taken a bath, but my wife reminded me of the need to apply first fertilizer application. I understood the potential for this day to apply fertilizer. I communicated my boss to let him know that I was not going to attend the work for I was temporarily busy applying fertilizer to my winter maize cropping. I took 30kgs of DAP fertilizer on my bicycle while my wife was behind preparing breakfast. I started working. My wife got me there with rice porridge that I took after completing 2lines of almost 115 meters long each. My friend got me still applying and asked why I was alone applying without asking someone else to assist me. “I like to apply myself even my wife can not assist me because I always want to make sure that each and every hole is filled with fertilizer as well as the high fertilizer cost. I always after proper work” I told my friend.
Safety awareness. After knocking off from the garden, I left for Nchalo. I watched a safety awareness that was conducted by Malawi Traffic Police. Many people watched the ceremony because there were dramas and songs played by the police. The traffic officers said that many people have recently lost their relatives due to traffic ignorance. They said that a pedestrian should understand the road regulations when wants to cross the road. When walking during the night hours pedestrians and or cyclist should put on white clothes. After Nchalo awareness, they proceeded to Dyeratu trading centre for the same purpose.
