Rainwater flows « Ubuntu Blog

I woke up at 5am, then brushed my teeth and then footed for the work. Soon after left home about 300 meters my workmate drove me on his bicycle. We proceeded to phase reservoir to check irrigating water level. On the way we found a small stream full of rain water flowing from northern part of Chinangwa village. It was so wonderful because we did not receive rain but only showers that water can not flow.

Showering
At around 12 when we were at the work we received showers. It seemed to be a heavy rain but failed. Irrigators closed the feeder valves thinking that it was going to rain and that there was no need of continuing with irrigation. In the afternoon, it increases and that many people were happy with intention that they were going to plant their maize.

Went for hunting
When I knocked off from the work, I was passing by a certain forest where I was trying to hunt especially birds. I had my catapult. I was targeting big birds like njiwa but these birds seemed to be so clever. When I was about to leave that forest, I managed to kill one bird which my wife enjoyed with meal. She encouraged me to go hunting because I was good at targeting.

Milling maize
“We don’t have maize flour for the forth Christmas festival” she said. She hired a cyclist to pick the bag of maize for her to the mill a distance of about 6km from home, Chinangwa.
