I left for Blantyre to meet ESCOM officials as Nchalo branch manager referred me to. At the ESCOM customer care I discussed with one of the officials who confirmed me that the corporation is soon going to start phase two construction of the Chinangwa village electrification project. I had Peter Mtengo, as a driver because we used the general manager’s vehicle. Peter was given some money to buy computer keyboard and grinder.
From the shop we left for Wenera deport to collect Emily Chimombo the best friend to Bertha, my future wife who was going to participate engagement ceremony for her friend on July28-2007, Saturday. I found Emily waiting for me. When I met her, she didn’t recognize me, but I recognize her because I had a photo given by Bertha. We were arriving at Bertha’s residence around 4:25pm; Bertha hugged Emily once got off from the vehicle.
