It was cold and showering I left for Blantyre to find out the payment days for December exams as I failed to seat for September exams 2007. I was told have paid by November end.
When I was in Blantyre I received a call that there was a meeting for phase one committee and village headmen. I was called to address fairtrade awareness and development progress. I confirmed the committee members that for Kasinthula is a hired labour dependant then employees are also beneficiaries of the fairtrade premium. I told them that surrounding communities and workers are indirect beneficiaries through producers as direct beneficiaries. I also reported the FLO-Cert inspector to Kasinthula premium on Monday, September 10, 2007, I them that the inspection was quite fine. I preceded saying that our inspection this year was done by Christoph Klein of Germany and encouraged me to raise fairtrade premium awareness to employees and general farmers as well as surrounding communities.
