The premium committee members came at 6:30am to receive a FLO-cert inspector who came to inspect Kasinthula premium funds. He firstly discussed with Kasinthula Premium Committee and then he met accountant. After lunch he met 30 employees, with whom he discussed much on the conditions of services and assured them to understand that Fairtrade premium fund is for producers, surrounding communities and workers for potential developments. It was not so simple because I had to work with him from morning till 8:25evening.

My wife went to Boma to attend the church service, but I was not able to attend because I went to hear the case that was taking place at Kapasule village headman. There was a man and a woman of different families who were revealed by a young chap that those two people have been teaching that young girl on to bewitch and has been forced to kill her father magically. Both of them admitted that accusation.
At 2pm Premium Committee had a meeting in preparation of FLO-Cert Inspector who was scheduled to audit Kasinthula Fairtrade Premium Funds. The members agreed to meet at 7am that’s on Monday, September 10, 2007 to arrange everything to inspector.
I left for Blantyre to meet external auditors who were asked to audit Premium Fund. After meeting I went to have lunch at a mini market called (chiyimirire) restaurant where people of less money can buy food and be contented. When I was in Blantyre I received a call from my wife that she was not feeling ok. I was arriving at around 6:42evening and found her asleep whilst complaining of unstable heart beating.
In Ndirande Township in Blantyre, a house set on fire and killed two children, one aged 5 and other aged 1 and half. A man, the owner of the house has also been taken to hospital for he was trying to overcome the flames of fire. The man used to sell fuel (petrol) illegally. Wednesday night he was measuring fuel using candle as a means of light. Unfortunately the fuel container busted for the candle was near it. A wife escaped and left two children asleep. Sadly everything inside the house burnt up to ashes including those two children. Nobody could rescue them because it was so terrible fire. Police has said that the man is to appear before court after his recovery. The remains of the children were put to rest in one coffin in Mulanje district.
And at around 5pm some fuel dealers were arrested by community police service at Kasinthula cane plantation compound and were brought to office. They had almost 80 liters of diesel and were taken to police.
I went to Nchalo to deposit some money for December 2007 Exams. I have failed to seat for September Exams because I was late to pay for Sept. exams due to lack of money in scheduled time for exams. My wife advised me to save some money to pay on October end 2007.
When I got home late afternoon I heard that some two men who based in Chinangwa village are missing. I heard that since they received their wages as phase two cane farmers. A wife to one of these farmers told my wife that her husband is missing because is hiding in a certain village in fearing of moneylenders whom he has been failing to cover their debts.
My younger sister sat for Primary School Leaving Certificate Examinations. She told her sister in law (my wife) to prepare her some food to keep because she was supposed to come at late noon.
I was at phase two with the same Fairtrade Awareness to the employees. After conducting training I left for home to prepare for the work.
At lunch time I did not go home because I could not find food for my wife was at her parents’ home to cheer her mother who had a backache.
I woke early morning around 4:20, because I went to conduct a third training, for Fairtrade Awareness to the employees at phase one. I started at around 5:30 and wound up at 6:30. a lot of workers are now understanding the role of Premium funds as a potential to impoverished people in terms of social and economic development.
At around 12:00noon I left for Blantyre to take wiring equipment quotations. After collected the quotations my boss was within Blantyre and he picked me home on his vehicle.
My wife and I went to church. From there we proceeded to Dyeratu Trading Center to buy relish. The pastor read Luke 10 vs. 38-42. We were knocking off at 12:25pm and arriving home 3:15pm. Because we footed my wife was so tired. After lunch I went to watch football match at Mitole Football ground. The match ended 2-1 in favor of Mitole Football Club.
Early morning my neighbor called my wife that my dog was found died beside his house. My wife suspected that someone poisoned it. I was so worried because it was growing healthier and was barking every night when a person or anything else passes by.
I failed to go to school because there was funeral at my village, Chinangwa. When people were digging graveyard someone was talking that others were going to appear on court on Monday, 03 Sept.007 for being suspected of teaching their neighbor’s children witchcraft. A couple was teaching two children of its neighbor. The children revealed that the couple used to take them every night and they went to graveyard to eat human fresh. The parents took the issue to the Village headman and were referred to police, and then the couple was arrested.
