I left for Blantyre for my studies and when I knocked off I met boy whose parents passed away a couple of years ago and left him a lot of money including buildings and shops. He had no sister or brother. He sold all infrastructure and left Chikwawa for Blantyre. A lot of people advised him to that properly, but he misused that money only for entertainment especially beer. I met him arrested with two policemen that he stole perfume in a Game shop at Chichiri shopping more.
A man asked his friend’s wife to fall in love at 1am, while his friend was at the second wife. His friend is a polygamous, and a man found out that his friend was not around. He went at his friend’s house and knocked. The wife responded the knock and got off. She asked what the man wanted at that late hour. A man persuaded her to have sex by providing her with Mk500, but she did not admit to have slept with him. When the man came from the junior wife, she revealed what his friend did for persuading her with Mk500. the man was so worried because that man was his best friend. The couple referred the issue to the village headman. They are all phase two farmers and the man is failing to go to cane field for other activities due to the shameness because he has come a laughing stalk of Chinangwa village.
Around 3am a man started insulting without mentioning the name of person whom he was insulting. A certain phase 2 farmer who was just concerned with how a man was doing without the name mentioned called him. She asked him to mention the one he was insulting, but he said that he was just insulting the one who failed to cover his debt. A woman advised him that it was unfair to make naughty noise while other people were asleep in their respective houses. The village headman councilor sent community police service to arrest the man for hearing at he village headman office.
A pastor of a certain church was found guilty for being responsible to pregnant a mad woman in Chikwawa district. Chikwawa magistrate court ordered him 4 years in prison. The pastor accepted before the magistrate that he was used to have sexual intercourse with that woman for several times and later conceived her. The magistrate said that was so abnormality for a wise man to trouble a mad woman to have a child that shall be a problem for the born baby. “Expectant woman needs someone to take care of her, how a mad woman can be taken care of” Shouted a Chikwawa magistrate. A lot of people were so amazing with responsibility of a pastor to his church members.
My wife reminded me that the flour for nsima as our step food was finished and wanted money for milling. She asked a certain boy to go for milling for her because she could not manage to cycle for a 4.5km away from home to trading center for mill.
Farmers had a general meeting at 8:25 conducted by the main body committees. As a Faitrade premium advisor I also reminded them about the expenses, income, and balance of premium fund. I also reported about the electrification progress that the distribution lines (MV1) were completed and wiring was due to be completed on a week time.
One of the farmers for phase 2 bought a motorbike and he told me to use it when going to work. I drove him and was comfortable as well as quickest means of transport than using a bicycle.
I went to work and left for home to attend a funeral of one of the phase 2 farmers’ sister who was laid to rest at 3noon. At the graveyard one of people who were digging found underground bees within the graveyard. Customary they asked a village headman if he could allow them to dig for honey. The village headman admitted them. They dug about a 1.5m hole underground and found honey. They shared and enjoy the graveyard honey.
I went to watch football match between Mitole FC and a coming team from Blantyre. Mitole was behind with 2 goals. The responsible referee decleared that the visiting team should have a penalty for Mitole’s player was so unfair on the 18 box and scored the third goal. One of the Mitole’s supporters didn’t agree with that penalty and caught the referee and bulled him. So many supporters came in and bulled that referee and was bleeding. The match ended due to that violence.
At 7am I was boarding a minibus for Blantyre to attend classes. I was arriving at 8:18am. We dealt with gender issues especially on gender analysis. We knocked off at 11:00am. One of my lecturers advised me to start having studies for Diploma 2, June 2008 exams. He me to have part time on every Saturday noon and Sunday morning
I called David Philips who was in Blantyre for he promised to visit me at my college, Blantyre Business College. I informed him that I was about to leave for Limbe. David told me through mobile phones that we should meet on 17th Wednesday for he was leaving for Zomba.
It was cold and later showering. Was holiday, the last fasting day for Muslims, which was just decleared early morning through radios and other media. People were so amazing with the weather because it was still summer until December.
Late afternoon my friend Alfred Butao asked me to assist him to burn his bricks. There were a lot of people to assist him and we didn’t sleep the whole night. Alfred bought kachaso (a local beer) for the members to take. One of the assisting members was about to throw himself on frames of fire due to intoxication. Alfred told him to go home because he was so drunk.
