This man is one of the Kasinthula cane farmers. He went to Nchalo to draw his money at the New Building Society Bank. After drawing, he was interested with a certain tricky game, which is illegal by Malawi law. When that game is played people are asked to pay money pledged that they could win more than what was paid. That farmer was persuaded to pay only less than one dollar. That farmer paid it and won three dollars, then when was impressed to continue playing that tricky game by paying 4 dollars and was won by the game’s owners. The man was persuaded again to pay for the last chance was for him. He paid all he had and too won by the game’s owners. The man cried for his money and was told that they did not call him. The man even failed to travel from Nchalo to Chikwawa because he had nothing to use as a means of transport. A certain well-wisher woman covered transport cost for him.
Did not go for work. In the morning when I was about to leave for work I checked my bicycle if it was in good condition. It is about 4.5 km away from home, Chinangwa village to where I work. I was just listening to the radio and nursing the baby, but still I was worried for not going to work.
