One of the Kasinthula employees whose duty was to apply herbicides in the cane fields stole some appliances from his boss’s house while with his family members were asleep. That person together with his compliance who is still at large broke into the house through a window. Unfortunately, the man (owner) of the house was down with malaria even though his wife noticed and cried for the help he hardly woke up.
The following day it was found out that those thieves had to hide those stolen items at their friend at Dyeratu trading centre, which is almost a kilometer from where goods were stolen. One of the thieves was suspected for he was the one who plastered the broken house. The issue was reported to Chikwawa Police Station that tried to fetch for the suspected person and was arrested. After the man was punished, he revealed where he kept those goods. The man was in custody waiting to answer charges of breaking the house and robbery. His friend had been missing since that scene. Most of the employees were so worried for having heard that fellow worker stole at their boss’s residence. It was so shameful.
Late in the afternoon, my friend Alfred called me at his house. He told me that he wanted to take supper with me. We enjoyed that supper because it was guinea fowls (nkhanga) that is our local calling. It was nsima and I congratulated his wife for preparing that good meal. After taking supper, we were just listening to nkhani za m’maboma programme, which informs different scenes taking place nation wide. I went home to bed late around 10 night.
