A visit from abroad

My bicycle was not in good condition, I hired a bicycle to lift me for the work. I paid MK70, which is equivalent to 50 cents. At lunch hour, Robert and I left for Dyeratu to take chips as lunch. Trust administrator took us on the trust vehicle to Dyeratu. After taking lunch, he came to take us back to the work.

Wholesome sweetener’s visit (Fairtrade). When we got to the office, we received the visitor from Wholesome Sweeteners one of the biggest customers on Kasinthula sugar on Fairtrade deal. Two Illovo workers accompanied him. The other was marketing manager for Illovo. The premium committee in collaboration with general manager Brian and I welcomed the visitor. After some discussions, we all together with the visitor went to see some of developmental projects, which were already implemented through premium funds. Firstly, he took photos to Kasinthula clinic extension through premium and then visited Chinangwa electrification project. Chinangwa electrification project is the project that most of the people wonder why electricity was installed at a typical village. Premium funds is playing important role in implementation of the sustainable developments to make the living standard of the growers and the community access necessities. The visitor encouraged members present that the premium should bring a great change within the Kasinthula surrounding communities and promised to buy more sugar from Kasinthula in order to us with more premium.

Wholesome Sweetener shirts. The wholesome sweetener’s visitor brought us some gifts, which we all shared. There were shirts, capes, handbags and ballpoint pens but all of these labeled Wholesome Sweeteners. We all enjoyed those gifts and paid congratulation to Wholesome Sweeteners Company.
