My family was very happy to have Elod Kafaukoma Junior, my last born attaining one year old. It was happy day for this baby is always smiling and looks healthy. When my wife asked me about the birthday party, I just advised her that this should be belated for I was really financially embarrassed. Junior likes standing and attempting to walk. His mother likes to call him mwamuna m’modzi (one man) because he likes to do what he prefers at that moment not what mum wants.

Wife’s cousin killed the bird
On the way to church after 20 meters from the house, he turned and asked me about the catapult. I gave him mine. My son, MacAlfred and wife’s cousin left before us. I took my wife, last born Junior and daughter Ndaona on my bicycle to church. On the way, we found them celebrating that they were going to enjoy lunch with that bird.

Mitole FC, two consecutive losses
It was cloudy and slightly showering when players from Zomba and the host players Mitole FC were showing their maturity in football ground at Mitole when thousands of soccer lovers covered all corners of the ground watching. It was just the past day that Mitole FC lost to another team which it too hosted. It was 2-0 in favour of the hosted team (Zomba Medicals). The weather was relevant to football match. All Mitole supporters were about to cry when they realized that the time was going without their players holding and touching the ball or even possessed it for a minute. It was sad to the host. One of the Mitole’s hitman failed to utilize penalty they got.

Cousin to my wife Bertha came home to assist with labour in sesame garden. I encouraged my wife early before rain season that we could plant sesame because other areas of Malawi got lots of money after sales probably than most of the cash crops. My wife and I worked so hard to plant it so that this year we could exeperience the difference. Many farmers are admiring our garden which is full of beautiful sesame crop. If we receive good rain I shall be motivated after the first sales.

Took pictures
When I was leaving for Blantyre after taking breakfast, my wife asked me to take camera to take pictures at the garden while they were doing weeding. Pictures were very perfect and admirable. She was very proud for she produced beautiful pictures. Through these pictures she encouraged me of working hard in sesame garden.

Attended political party rally
In the afternoon, at around 4:35pm when I got home from Blantyre, I proceeded to Nedi village about 4km from Chinangwa where there was a political rally conducted by a shadow MP as Malawi will have polls on 19th May 2009 and was just a campaign initiative. There were different traditional dances like nyau who wore masks and some sack threads covering legs and arms. This dance is commonly done in rallies as one way of obtaining money. It is the major traditional dance in most parts of Malawi. I took pictures while those nyau dancing with heavy dust as the soil is totally dry. It was really fantastic.
