Vomited on my shoes

On the way to Blantyre (school) about 15 kilometers from the depot, I noticed that the man who sat ahead my chair on AXA bus was totally drunk. On my chair I was just scanning that day’s newspaper stretched my legs just below his sit. The man vomited directly on my shoes. His whole pair of trousers was dirty with those beer vomits. I was worried because I smelled beer as if I was the one taking that beer.

When he entered in that woman’s house, he took almost 10 minutes and it was heard that he collapsed inside that house. His assistants entered to lift him out for fresh air. He took almost an hour.

Pumpkin a good stuff

Before taking bath and breakfast, I went to my garden to see if there was no animal damage. Henry came home but he was told that I was not around. He followed me at the garden but we did not meet for I used the other path.

Henry and I took the breakfast at home. It was warm milk and pumpkins. I preferred the breakfast. Henry too admired taking milk and boiled pumpkins.

It was nice indeed that he had been struggling for the work but no access to employment. He underwent driving school some three years ago and awarded the driving license. He is going to enjoy his work as he had been looking for it.

Sold canes seized
The cholera epidemic has hit most areas in Chikwawa district. Death cases have already occurred. The Malawi government under the ministry of health has set some measures to prevent and control this problem. I left for Nchalo at lunch hour. After my business I saw many people especially youths flocking to a place where some people were selling sugar canes. The nearest hospital’s HR ordered those people so take freely those sold canes in order to abolish the cane selling that was found out as one way of attributing cholera in Shire Valley. The hospital’s medical workers advised people to stop buying locally prepared foods including sugar canes.

Fairtrade flow of goods reconciliation

I arrived at the work just soon after taking boiled pumpkins which I bought at Thabwa while from school. I enjoyed the breakfast as well my family. Charles told me that there was a trip to Blantyre to meet the Illovo Marketing Manager to reconcile the Fairtrade flow of goods. Charles and I got the manager at Limbe Illovo offices at 11am. He asked us to wait just for thirty minutes for he had something to do. When we got back he welcomed us and started the reconciliation and was successful because we agreed some potential issues to contact each other before sending invoices to the Kasinthula sugar on Fairtrade deal.

Lunch at Alibaba
We had Kasinthula HR on the way to Blantyre who had his own business to do. After reconciliations he directed us (4) to have lunch at a controversial restaurant. It was nice meal that I enjoyed. It was raining when I boarded the bus back to Chikwawa from Blantyre.

Father ordered his son’s arrest

A ten year old boy was arrested following his father influence. The father was one day drunk. He slept under the veranda of his first house. The man is a polygamous with three wives and about 11 children. On this day when he woke up early morning around 4, he realized that his half of his total money he had
was stolen. He did not do otherwise but heavily beating his son as the first accused one. The boy did not admit that accusation even though he had some bruises on his body. His father ordered the Chikwawa police officers to arrest him. It was sad because the young boy is still in custody besides going to school. It is psychologically believed that the boy would be mentally disturbed and adapting immoral socialization following his arrest.

Early arrival
I woke up at 4 am to take bath and later breakfast in order to board the morning bus traveling to Blantyre attending classes. I was the first one to reach the school especially in our class. My fellow classmates got me studying Community Empowerment module.
