Infants need the parental full care. They are so dependence to the guardians. Children need medical care, food, shelter and defense for improvement in various aspects like socialization and improved health. At around 10 am I heard my brother who got me at the workplace. “Have you heard that our cousin’s child (daughter) has passed this morning?” asked me my young brother. “Was that daughter sick?” I tool asked him. He therefore explained to me that the parents noticed some three to four days ago that it could be malaria but they did not take her to hospital. Had it been that she was taken to hospital she may not die, concluded my brother.
I knocked off at 5:40 pm. When I reached home, I took bath before anything. My wife filled a pail with warm water and asked me to take bath at bathroom. It was dark by then because the bathroom is 30 meters away from house.
Following my society’s cultural; I took my mat and blanket to have sleep at my cousin house until morning for burial ceremony. There were about 30 people despite Christians who song on that sad night.
