Malawi government through the Ministry of Health is combating ant cholera programme on which sanitation is encouraged by controlling the selling of locally made goods. Chips, thobwa, sugarcanes, doughnuts and many food products are not allowed to be sold in markets. Chikwawa District Doctors brought with them police men to break the chips pans for they were not following the set controlling measures. Cholera outbreak has hit Lower Shire and few people have passed away. The government is playing the big role to prevent and control.
