I left home without taking food at early 5 am for the voting centre (Mthumba Primary School). We set the voting materials in logical order. There were already thousands of people who came earlier than officials and monitors. All centers were scheduled to be open at 6 am and closed at 6 pm. Nine parliamentary candidates were contesting at Chikwawa central and seven presidential candidates.
One of the party representative brought with him nsima that I took. It was really tough day. The peoples turn seemed to be reduced at around 3 pm.

The ballot boxes were taken into the classroom for counting. The provided generator was switched on for light. The ballot counting was not simple as the monitoring. After counting officials and party representatives were discussing each and every various issues. We knocked off at 12 midnight and I arrived home at 1 am. Before knocking off, I called my wife, Bertha to prepare food for I was really hungry at that hour.
Ballot box blown in the air
In the afternoon we learnt that in Lilongwe the presidential ballot box at one polling center was blown in the air by a heavy wind whirl. The ballot box opened in the air and some papers were not found. It was really terrible and made many people be superstitious for another development happened that bees attacked people while on the line to vote.
