In the afternoon around 2 pm, three cane thieves brought to the office from the cane fields. One them was the cane farmer’s son and the other one was the employee’s son. They did not referred to Chikwawa because their parents are working within the organization. The suffers were their parents because they were punished by deducting their monthly salaries for the canes stolen.
After 20 minutes two thieves brought the office with burnt and fresh canes. These two were referred to Chikwawa police. Most of the surrounding people steal canes mainly for sell raw canes and even just cracking as their day’s meal in starving of hunger.
