It was sad when I learnt soon after arriving at the work that a 1 year and 3 months old baby had drowned in their nearby canal that feed the Kasinthula Research fields. It was sad morning. It was learnt that the baby was just playing and crawled towards the canal. When the mother wanted the baby, she realized that she was not seen. It was later discovered that she drowned in canal and died.
