Robert and I just soon after knocking off at 12noon agreed to visit the cane field where the cane harvest was taking place. We shared one full burnt cane and crack. Some of the cane cutters were already out of the field for they finished their given tasks. One, whom Robert and I interviewed said that he would not finish because his area had lots more canes than anybodyelse. It was around 1:48 pm, when he was tackling just half of his given task. Cutting or harvesting sugarcanes is really a tough job.
“At the crack of dawn I was here starting together with my friends on our respective tasks. If I am not today finish, it doesn’t mean I am only lazy but the accumulation of canes on my task” the cane cutter said while complaining.
