Elod Junior at nursery school

Elod Junior is 1 year and 7 months old. He always cries when his sister Ndaona Kafaukoma 4 goes to school. I just advised my wife to let him go with his sister even though is still taking breast feeding. He accompanied Ndaona at 7 am when she was going to school.

The school teacher called my wife that Junior was refusing to take tea. He forced Ndaona to go home for tea to meet his mum. In the evening I was told that Junior was refusing school tea and forced his sister to leave for home. I told my wife that soon he shall adopt the situation and like it.

Cheered my friend at Chikwawa

I paid an excuse to my boss at 3 pm, to leave for Chikwawa boma to cheer my friend Gadia who was arrested three weeks ago for being suspected of embezzling the proceeds of the TNM, one of the phone communication organizations. The friend was recruited by the organization to sell air time to the surrounding communities and was suspected of misused some money for personal gains.

“How are my friend? Sorry for not visiting you earlier for I was just busy these two last weeks. I have just paid an excuse to visit you here” I told Gadia. “Thank you Elod for visiting me. God bless you and your entire family. Don’t worry, I am doing fine” he responded while ordered by the guards on duty to say his last word for they were about to knock off.

The farmer had his fellow thief from Supuni village who played a greater role to when stealing. The goats’ owner was tipped that led the recovery of the goats. The owner was threatened when the farmer was found selling live goats to a certain butcher. The matter was referred to Chikwawa police which arrest the farmer.

Felix slept on brewer’s bed

Felix of Chinangwa village went to take beer at the neighbouring village, William. He called 1 liter of kachaso to drink with his two friends. They all drunk and failed to pay when asked. The brewer’s wife seized Felix’s bicycle.

The woman enclosed Felix’s bicycle and locked the house. Felix entered the brewer’s bed room and slept on it. The house owner (wife) called her husband to take him out of the room. The house owner found him naked as if he was on his home bed room. The brewer referred the issue to the Felix’s village headman where he was ordered to pay a penalty fee of Mk500.00 including Mk200.00 of the drunk beer.

A woman seized man’s salary

It was pay day. Around 2 pm, I arrived Kasinthula offices from school. I was asked to assist paying field workers specifically the irrigation department.

Late in the afternoon, before the exercise ended, I saw people flocking behind the toilet block. I too rushed to witness what was up. I saw a woman struggling with a man aiming at seizing his whole salary. The man’s wife assisted him by not tolerating the other woman to grab her husband’s salary. It was very interesting to see for the man was failing even to escape. It was later learnt that the man drunk the woman’s beer without paying for almost four months.

Man arrested over forest devastation

The preserved forest just along Chinangwa village was highly destroyed by the surrounding community. The devastation was mainly encouraged to lack of firewood for and timbers mainly for income.

The leased land owner came in the morning at 7 am. He found an oxcart full of firewood from the forest. The young driver escaped and left the oxcart. The two police officers with the forest owner chased one of the person whom they found cutting the tree inside the forest. They arrested him while numerous of them fled out of the forest.

The arrest of the man has threatened many of the people who went for trees for income. It was very pathetic to see the beautiful and admirable forest being devastated without any control. The devastated forest shall take almost thirty years to be as it was before which is very expensive.

Witchcraft flew before the village headman

There was a mysterious death of a certain girl in Traditional Authority Maseya. Relatives to the deceased suspected someone to be responsible. They consulted an African doctor to find out the cause of the death. The issue was referred to the village headman.

The woman was brought before the village leaders. It was just soon after the deceased father explained the findings of the death cause when the accused woman insulted the leaders and she flew away as well as the bird and nobody managed to see her. The village headman advised his authorities to order the woman to leave the village for another one.

Annoyed woman abandoned the baby

It was around 10 am. I was at Nchalo to pay electricity bills. Once I boarded off the bus, I saw a woman heading to a certain man whom I later learnt that he was her husband. The woman took off the baby from her back and gave it to the husband. She was so angry and told her husband that she was hungry and that she could hardly breast feed the baby.

She later left the baby in hands of the husband while crying. She angrily told the husband that he should breast feed the baby for he was only surviving forgetting home.

Harvesting beans

It was holiday, my mother asked us to assist harvesting beans. There were almost 12 family members to who assisted the task.

We agreed to spare a for building an oven and ready for burning. Members agreed to continue building an oven and burn. Thieves’ vehicle broken

I was with my wife just discussing some family issues while opening my computer. We heard a rough knock at the front door. I got out and found my brother who tipped me that there were thieves suspected to enter the village with an unidentified vehicle.

Neighbouring men were tipped to follow the suspected vehicle. We were nine men with weapons. It was around 11 night hours with heavy winds and no even moonlight.

The vehicle was found hidden along the road in the forest a km away from Chinangwa village. Some passengers who were on board when the vehicle was crossing the village were not where it was hidden. Only driver was with it enclosed himself while communicating others through his mobile phone.

The angry Chinangwa men surrounded the vehicle while hidden themselves just looking forward to witness what would be loaded or what would be done. Some four men seen brought the cow where there a hidden vehicle. They tighten the cow all legs and tried to load it. Angry Chinangwa men just came out as flash of lighten and hit one of the five thieves. Others started breaking the vehicle. The driver who was one of the thieves tried to rush with the vehicle. They left the stolen cow and was rescued. It was later known that the cow was belonging to Mr Thomas Joe of Chinangwa village who is one of the Kasinthula Cane farmers.

In our community many farmers are complaining that thieves from town specifically Blantyre are descending to Shire Valley to steal livestock. This is a shock indeed to the community.
