The forest that was regarded as was leased is now the source of income to the surrounding community. Even though people need trees for various projects to run, but the environment is totally degraded.
I was footing going to work almost a 5 km from home, Chinangwa village. I saw a group of women carrying bundles of firedwood. There a heavy sound of axes inside the forest. Trees were heavily cut. I stepped 30 meters inside the forest. The owner of the forest who leased it failed the proper management of the forest. Poor management has influenced many people to struggle for trees as their main source of money.
