Since November 10, 2009 when we experienced black out in Chinangwa village, Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi showed no any interest to restore the power to Chinangwa village. Robert and I went to meet the Nchalo branch manager to fully understand what was happening for his organization not restoring electric power. The manager just told us that he was going to organize his team to investigate the causative problem of the black out.
Chinangwa people are failing to enjoy electric power since installation because they plant already weary transformers having advantage that Chinangwa based people are not most of them literate. The premium funded electrification project paid lots of millions to supply the typical Chinangwa village village, but ESCOM tricks residents by using very old transformers that failed to supply power even for only 30 days. Since 2007, almost 5 transformers have already planted but not working.
