Chemical weeding is very effective when applied by well trained people. I have been supervising chemical application in cane fields from 2003 to 2006.
Chemicals need proper handling to prevent skin contact or inhaling of the mist. Kasinthula Cane Growers managed to train the herbicide gung on agrochemical handling. The herbicide gung is now fully protected to comply with the chemical use standards.
I bought two pairs of trousers from PEP shop in Blantyre. Both trousers were longer than my usual size. My wife took them to a certain tailor to adjust.
My wife had been going there to ask the tailor about the trousers but he was just an excuse that he did not yet adjusted them. It was something very wonderful when he told me that both trousers were missing. I reported the issue to the market chairman. The tailor promised to buy or either refund cash worthy trousers.
My son Junior likes to ask food whenever he wakes up despite at what hour of the night. Junior woke up at 1am and asked his mother that he wanted to pass urine and was taken out of the house.
He then started forcing his mother to prepare tea for him. “Have you heard what Junior is demanding at this odd hour?” my wife asked. “I haven’t, but I can hear that is just murmuring” she the told me that he was forcing his mother to prepare tea for him. I just advised her to dilute sobo (juice) for him instead of preparing tea. Junior did take the diluted sobo but still demanding for tea.
The woman who lost her son 2 years ago cried on the church service when the pastor started preaching about the death of the Jesus Christ on the cross.
It was a big ceremony with not less than 100 Christians. The pastor related the death of Jesus and young children who did not even committed sin. The woman fell down and started crying for she remembered her very young son who passed. It was indeed sorrowful.

Every 3rd March the Malawians do commemorate those people who lost their lives for the betterment of the future generation. This public holiday is held by conducting prayers in many parts of the nation.
During the one party system before the democratic system in 1994, this day Malawians were not allowed to move from their homes. Once caught out from one’s home was arrested and was released on the next 3rd March of the following year. With democratic system Malawians are now free to move and do any business one likes to tackle.

I left in the morning for the work. At lunch hour my wife called me. She just wanted to remind me that washing soap was totally required. “Do realise that tomorrow you might not go school because washing soap is needed to wash your clothes?” my wife cautioned me. I told her to borrow soap from the neighbouring shops and the money be covered when I got home from the work.
When I got home at 6pm I found her ironing all washed clothes. I thanked her for the effort to making possible that my clothes to be washed because I might fail go to school. “I don’t think that I would be absent from school because you would borrow me you female clothes” I just joked with my wife and she was just laughing.
