Malicious people poisoned cattle when owner was asleep. It was Chikhambi where more cattle theft cases happen. Some butchers from this village stole twenty cattle belonging to Mr Kavalo. In 1993, one thief was shot dead by the cattle owner when he entered the premises and attempted to drive 4 cattle into the bush.
In the morning, the cattle owner found his 3 cattle dead. Every person wondered for all cattle looked healthy that could just die. The area’s veterinary assistant was called to examine. He found that someone poisoned them. More people suspected that one was not a thief but a malicious and jealousy person.
